How It Works:
The Alpha Texas Star is a rotating reactive target system featuring five arms attached to a central bearing hub. Each arm holds a round paddle (sold separately). When a paddle is hit and falls, the hub spins from the weight imbalance. The rotation speed and direction change depending on which targets are hit and in what order – creating unpredictable, dynamic movement. This creates an evolving challenge that forces shooters to compensate for movement, plan their engagement order, and maintain control under dynamic conditions. It’s a proven tool for refining accuracy and reflex shooting skills, ideal for both tactical drills and training exercises using pistols and shotguns.

Component Coating Notes: Armour components are supplied raw uncoated. If you desire to coat these items we have target system spray paint in the accessories section of our website. Mild steel components come powder coated such as the hub mount, target plate shroud, retainer plate and so on... 

This system is built from 8mm AR500 to handle repeated impacts from centre-fire pistols, light rifles, and shotguns. Suitable for .22LR, 9mm, .45 ACP, .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, and 12 Gauge (bird and buckshot only). While extremely robust, the system is not rated for high-powered rifle calibres. Subsonic or light loads may not reliably eject paddles. Regular inspection is recommended when using rifles to prevent long-term damage.

  ⚠️ If purchasing the no-base version, and using a REACK X-Base, you must already have or separately purchase the adapt bracket to mount the timber post.

– Light Rifles (.223, 5.56, .300 BLK): 50 metres minimum (not recommended – violent ejection may damage the retainer plate)
– Shotgun (birdshot/buckshot only): 20 metres minimum

⚠️ Not rated for high-powered rifle. Subsonic may fail to actuate targets. Check for wear frequently under rifle use. Distance/velocity overrides apply based on setup.
