The DT-Cadet 6mm AR450 Armour Upgrade Kit upgrades your standard unarmoured DT-Cadet Duelling Tree to a fully armoured rimfire-rated system, optimised for use with .22LR, .22 Magnum, and .17 HMR calibres. This bolt-on upgrade improves durability, enhances splatter control, and extends lifespan, while still allowing a future upgrade path to 8mm AR500 if centre-fire capability is ever needed. Unlike the factory welded DT-Cadet Armoured model, this bolt-on kit allows for future replacement, removal, or upgrade flexibility.

Paddle Compatibility – What Works Best
✔ 6mm AR450 Paddles – Recommended to match armour rating for proper actuation and longevity
✔ 6mm Mild Steel Paddles – Can be used but will wear faster (system will default to mild steel rating)
❌ 8mm & 10mm Paddles – Not compatible; too heavy for proper actuation with rimfire calibres
📌 Reminder:
A higher-rated target stand can use lighter paddles, but a lighter-rated stand should never be used with heavier centre-fire-rated paddles unless system limitations are fully understood.
