The 300mm EVO-Popper Round Gong in 6mm premium mild steel is a purpose-built target designed specifically for the EVO-Popper Target Base (sold separately). Precision-cut in Australia, this plate offers an affordable option for air rifles, CO₂, and rimfire shooting where full armour steel is not required. Best suited to training, plinking, and youth use, this target supports interactive marksmanship with tuneable reactivity depending on spring tension, target weight, and shooting distance.

Handgun or Rifle Use:

• 🔹 Angled (17° to 20°+) Targets: 25 metres+

• 🔹 Vertical (Perpendicular) Targets: 50 metres+

• 🔹 Maximum Velocity: 1,200 fps at impact

• 🔹 Minimum Velocity: 800 fps at impact (not applicable to air guns)

📌 Notes:

• Suitable for Air/CO₂ and .22LR only

• Not rated for higher calibres or extreme velocity/low-velocity ammunition

• Subsonic rounds (<1,100 fps) may not reliably activate reactive movement

• Rounds slower than 500 fps may not fragment on impact, increasing the risk of ricochet or bounce-back — especially with soft lead pellets or copper-plated rounds

⚙️ EVO-Popper Base Adjustment Overview:

The EVO-Popper Base allows you to fine-tune the system based on calibre, target weight, and response preference:

• Spring Tension Control – Adjust spring tension to suit your ammo and target setup. Lighter spring tension works best for .22LR and air rifles; heavier tension suits centrefire-rated plates.

• Reset vs Fall Mode – For falling mode, simply remove or disconnect the reset spring. With the spring installed, the target automatically resets based on spring tension.

• 3-Position Fall Limiter – Controls how far the plate can fall. Ideal for:

  • Faster resets with heavy targets

  • Reducing strain on the spring

  • Quick follow-up shots by limiting plate travel
    ⚠ Note: High spring tension combined with restricted plate travel will increase impact force on the plate, potentially shortening its lifespan over time.

⚠ Low-Energy Impact Advisory:

Low-force projectiles (air, CO₂, subsonic .22) may not consistently tip the plate when the EVO Base is set to falling mode. For best results, use the auto-reset mode with reduced spring tension to improve reactivity.
