Overview

This 6mm AR450 armour steel love-heart face plate is a direct replacement component for the Duel-Master System. Designed for rimfire and light-calibre applications, it offers greater durability than mild steel while maintaining safe deflection angles and reliable paddle performance. Perfect for users upgrading their system or replacing a worn plate.

CNC-cut from 6mm raw (uncoated) AR450 armour steel, this face plate is purpose-built for .22LR, .22 Magnum, and .17 HMR. It is not rated for centrefire calibres but provides excellent abrasion resistance and impact performance for regular rimfire shooters.

System Compatibility

This face plate bolts directly onto the Duel-Master System, which mounts to the 90x35 Post Top Target Mount and houses two reactive flip paddle brackets behind the plate. Designed to shield the bracket hardware from direct impacts while forming the visual aiming zone, it’s a critical part of maintaining safe, reactive performance.

Important Notes

• ❌ Not rated for centrefire calibres or high-velocity rifle ammo

• ❌ Not suitable for jacketed, magnum, or steel-core rounds

• ⚠️ Subsonic ammo under 1,100 fps may not reliably flip paddles

• ⚠️ Rounds below 500 fps may fail to fragment properly, increasing ricochet risk

• ⚠️ The system’s overall rating is always limited by its weakest component

  • Example: Using this AR450 plate with mild steel paddles = system defaults to mild steel ratings
