A simple, cost-effective ground-mounted target base for .22LR and air rifle steel targets—lightweight, portable, and easy to deploy.

The Stake & Shoot Base Stake – Light Duty is designed for quick and effortless setup. Simply push or hammer it into soft to medium ground and start shooting. This lightweight version is an affordable alternative to the heavy-duty model, purpose-built for smaller 6mm target plates and low-velocity calibres like air rifles and .22LR.

✔ Quick & Easy Setup – Push or hammer into soft to medium ground and mount a Stake & Shoot Target Plate (sold separately)
✔ Optimised for Smaller Targets – Recommended for use with 6mm plates up to 200mm tall
✔ Not Suited for Larger Plates – 400mm tall targets may cause movement or pull the stake loose during repeated impacts
✔ For Softer Ground Conditions – Best suited for looser or medium ground; use the Heavy Duty Stake for compacted soils or larger targets
✔ Low Profile Footprint – No bulky baseplates; easy to mow around or walk past without obstruction

Comparison to Heavy Duty Version:

  • Both models are compatible with air rifles and .22LR

  • Light Duty is best for 6mm mild steel plates and smaller formats (200mm tall or shorter)

  • The Heavy Duty version is recommended for larger/heavier plates or firmer ground

  • Heavy Duty includes a gusset reinforcement for added stability under angled impacts

Spring Compatibility:

  • Silver Spring Bracket (included) – Suitable for plates up to 6mm thick

  • Red Spring Bracket (required for 6mm to 10mm plates, sold separately)
