Overview

The Duel-Master Final Paddle Target – Partial Kit is a duelling tree-style add-on designed to bolt directly to the 90x35 Post Top Target Mount (sold separately). It features a black powder-coated steel base plate and a raw, uncoated 8mm AR500 armour plate face plate cut in a distinctive love-heart profile to deflect splatter downward while protecting internal components.

This configuration is optimised for centre-fire handgun use, making it ideal for reactive pistol training, speed drills, cowboy-style matches, or competitive head-to-head shooting stages. For rimfire shooters, lighter paddles can be used for better performance.

How It Works

Both paddles begin in the outward-facing position. In a competitive duel, Shooter A engages the left paddle and Shooter B engages the right. When hit, each paddle flips inward toward the centre. The first paddle to flip sits in front, clearly showing who landed the first hit — delivering instant visual feedback during fast-paced duelling scenarios.

Recommended Paddle Sizes

✅ Best: 100mm or 150mm paddles – ideal for centre-fire handguns, ensuring reliable flipping and proper proportional scale
❌ Not Recommended: 50mm paddles – functional but visually undersized for this system

⚠️ Note: While .22LR, .22 Magnum, and .17 HMR are safe to use with this AR500 face plate, rimfire energy may not reliably flip heavier 8mm paddles.

For best rimfire performance:

• Use 6mm mild steel or 6mm AR450 100mm paddles for .22LR

• Use 6mm AR450 100mm or 150mm paddles for .22 Magnum or .17 HMR

Paddle Compatibility Tips

• Use 6mm paddles for rimfire

• Use 8mm paddles for centre-fire handgun calibres

• A stronger face plate with lighter paddles is perfectly safe but always rated to the weakest component

• Example: An 8mm AR500 face plate + 6mm mild steel paddles = safe, but system rated to mild steel specs

✔ Shotgun (bird/buck): 15m+ minimum distance
✔ Max energy: 1,500 ft-lbs
✔ Max velocity: 2,750 fps
✔ Min velocity: 750 fps
❌ Not suitable for vertical shooting (system is fully angled)
❌ Not rated for high-velocity or magnum rifle rounds
⚠️ Subsonic rounds under 1,100 fps may not reliably flip heavier paddles
⚠️ Pair .22LR with lighter paddles for consistent function
