Overview

The Duel-Master Final Paddle Target – Partial Kit is a compact, duelling tree-style add-on designed to bolt directly to the 90x35 Post Top Target Mount (sold separately). It includes a black powder-coated mild steel base plate and a raw, uncoated 6mm AR450 face plate in a love-heart profile, designed to deflect splatter downward while protecting the internal bracketry.

This configuration is optimised for rimfire training, small-calibre handguns, and light shotgun use where enhanced abrasion resistance is preferred over mild steel. For users running light centrefire rifles, an 8mm AR500 version is available separately.

How It Works

Both paddles start in the outward-facing position. In a competitive duel, Shooter A engages the left paddle while Shooter B engages the right. When hit, each paddle flips inward toward the centre. The first paddle to flip sits at the front, clearly showing who hit first and providing instant visual feedback — ideal for fast-paced, head-to-head matches.

Recommended Paddle Sizes

✅ Best: 100mm paddles – ideal for reliable flipping and visual clarity with .22LR
✅ Optional: 150mm paddles – compatible but may require stronger calibres (e.g. .22 Magnum or .17 HMR) for consistent activation
❌ Not Recommended: 50mm paddles – functional but undersized and visually disproportionate

⚠️ Tip: For best results with rimfire calibres, pair this kit with 100mm paddles in either 6mm mild steel or 6mm AR450.

Paddle Compatibility Tips

• Match paddle material to face plate material where possible (e.g. AR450 paddles with AR450 face plate)

• Using a stronger face plate with lighter paddles is safe but limits the system rating to the weakest component

• Example: 8mm AR500 face plate + 6mm mild paddles = safe, but system rated to mild steel specs

⚠️ Not suitable for centrefire calibres or high-velocity/magnum loads
⚠️ Rounds under 500 fps may fail to fragment, increasing ricochet risk
