Overview

The Duel-Master Final Paddle Target – Full Kit is a complete duelling-style reactive target system designed for airgun and .22LR rimfire shooters. It includes a powder-coated steel base plate, a powder-coated 6mm mild steel face plate, and x2 Post Top Flip Paddle Brackets — creating a fully functional flip-paddle setup that bolts directly onto your 90x35 Post Top Target Mount (sold separately).

Perfect for backyard training, casual .22LR competitions, and cowboy-action style matches, this kit delivers quick setup, smooth paddle action, and instant shot feedback in a compact and modular format.

How It Works

Both paddles start in the outward-facing position. In a duel, Shooter A engages the left paddle, and Shooter B engages the right. When hit, each paddle flips inward toward the centre. The first paddle to flip sits in front, providing instant visual confirmation of who hit first — making it ideal for head-to-head matches and fast-paced stages.

Recommended Paddle Sizes

✅ Best: 100mm paddles – ideal for .22LR, providing reliable flipping and good visual sizing
✅ Optional: 150mm paddles – visually suitable but may require stronger calibres (see note below)
❌ Not Recommended: 50mm paddles – functional but visually undersized and mismatched to this setup

⚠️ Note on Paddle Sizes

• 150mm paddles may not flip consistently with .22LR due to limited impact energy

• For best results:
  • Use 6mm mild steel 100mm paddles for .22LR
  • Do not use this kit with .22 Magnum or .17 HMR — upgrade to the AR450 Duel-Master Kit for those calibres

⚠️ Paddle Compatibility Notice

This system requires flip paddles with the lock-in feature, designed specifically for the DT-Series Duelling Trees and Duel-Master System.

• ✅ Compatible: DT-Series lock-in flip paddles (e.g. DT-Alpha, DT-Cadet, DT-Pro)

• ❌ Not Compatible: Scout Duelling Tree paddles — they lack the lock-in mechanism and will not work with this system

Paddle Selection Tips

• Match paddle material to face plate where possible (e.g. mild + mild)

• Using a stronger face plate with lighter paddles is acceptable, but the system rating defaults to the weakest component

• Example: Using mild steel paddles with an AR500 face plate = safe, but system remains rated to .22LR only

✔ Max velocity: 1,200 fps
✔ Min velocity: 800 fps
✔ Angled Use Only: 25m+ minimum distance
❌ Not rated for vertical use
❌ Not suitable for centrefire, jacketed, or steel-core ammo
⚠️ Subsonic rounds under 1,100 fps may not reliably flip paddles
