The Dual Flip Paddle Bracket Partial Kit is a duelling tree-style add-on designed to bolt directly to the 90x35 Post Top Target Mount (sold separately). It includes a powder-coated mild steel base plate and a raw, uncoated 6mm AR450 face plate in a love-heart profile to help shield the brackets and deflect fragmentation downward. This setup is ideal for rimfire use where greater abrasion resistance than mild steel is desired. An 8mm AR500 version is available separately for users running light centrefire.

The system functions by starting both paddles in the outward-facing position. In a competitive setup, Shooter A engages the left paddle, and Shooter B engages the right paddle. When hit, each paddle swings inward into the middle. The first paddle to flip will sit at the front, clearly showing who hit their target first—providing instant visual feedback in a fast-paced, reactive format.

Recommended Paddle Sizes:
✅ Best: 100mm paddles for reliable flipping and visual clarity with .22LR
✅ Also compatible: 150mm paddles – suitable for rimfire, but may require stronger calibres such as .22 Magnum or .17 HMR for reliable activation
❌ Not recommended: 50mm paddles – while they may function, they are visually undersized and out of proportion with this system

⚠️ Note: 6mm 150mm paddles may not flip consistently with .22LR due to low impact energy. For best results with rimfire, use 100mm paddles in 6mm mild steel or 6mm AR450.

Paddle Compatibility Tips:

  • Match paddle material to face plate where possible (e.g. AR450 paddles with AR450 face plate)

  • Using a stronger face plate with lighter paddles is perfectly fine, but the system will only be rated to the weakest component

  • Example: An 8mm AR500 face plate paired with 6mm mild steel paddles is safe, but the system is only rated to 6mm mild steel specifications

  • This ensures safe operation and splatter control within the limits of your paddles
