The SPI IPSC Hatchet Hanger Stand Kit is a purpose-built freestanding target stand designed exclusively for use with Stag Point Industries Hatchet Hanger systems. Developed around IPSC-style shooting, practical training, and reactive plinking applications, this stand system provides a strong and stable mounting platform for SPI Hatchet Gong Target setups while maintaining excellent portability and simple assembly.

Manufactured entirely from heavy-duty 6mm mild steel, this version is designed primarily for .22LR-only applications and low-cost IPSC training setups where affordable target systems and reduced ammunition costs are desired.

Why Choose the Long Version?
The Long Version is the preferred all-round configuration for most IPSC-style applications. The increased target height allows the target to sit above standard 44-gallon drums and common stage props, making it ideal for practical shooting stage design and competition-style training setups.

The Short Version is better suited to lower target presentations, compact stages, and applications where reduced target height is preferred to be be hidden behind 44-gallon drums.

While all SPI Hatchet Hangers physically fit this stand, we recommend matching the stand material, hanger material, and target plate material to the intended calibre being used.

Using 8MM AR500 Target Plates on this 6MM Mild Steel Stand is acceptable provided direct projectile impacts do not strike the stand itself. Under normal use, projectile splash and deflected fragmented impact generally result in only mild wear over time, allowing the stand to still maintain respectable service life.

The higher-rated AR450 and AR500 stand versions primarily utilize upgraded armour post sections. The lower leg assemblies remain manufactured from 6mm mild steel, as they sit further outside the primary impact zone. AR450/500 versions are recommended for high traffic use.
