📌 Powder coating is mostly removed during live fire use, so being raw doesn’t impact function. If you want to coat your hanger for corrosion resistance or aesthetic reasons, paints and protective sprays are available on our website under Target Maintenance & Accessories.
Compatibility & Use
✔ Designed for use with the 6mm AR450 Scorpion Post
✔ Physically compatible with the 6mm Mild Steel Scorpion Post, but not recommended – the system will still only be rated to the weakest point in the shooting zone (mild steel = .22LR only)
✔ Ideal for use with 6mm AR450 target plates
✔ Physically compatible with 8mm AR500 and 10mm AR500 target plates, but not recommended – using a higher-rated target plate does not improve the system’s overall rating
✔ Not compatible with 8mm or 10mm Scorpion Posts
✔ Target plates must have a single-bolt centre mount
📌 Important Note: As with all Slide-Lock systems, we recommend using a target plate that fully covers the hanger. While this hanger is made from AR450 and can withstand impacts, a covered hanger presents less visual distraction to the shooter and creates a more streamlined and professional setup.
📌 For best results and compatibility, always match the hanger material and thickness to your Scorpion Post:
- 6mm Hanger = 6mm Post
- 8mm Hanger = 8mm Post
- 10mm Hanger = 10mm Post
