The Star Picket Post ADAPT to Stake & Shoot Paddle Target Mount is a rugged, quick-deploy solution that allows Stake & Shoot-style paddle targets to be mounted directly to a standard star picket (not included). It's especially popular on farms and rural properties, where shooters typically engage targets beyond 50 metres. This setup is ideal for training new or younger shooters using rimfire calibres like .22LR, .22 Magnum, and .17HMR, depending on the target plate material (mild steel or AR450).

Unlike traditional hanging gongs, this system features a vertically-mounted paddle that moves more on impact, creating a more interactive shooting experience. The increased reactivity makes it a fun and exciting target—especially for beginner and younger shooters just getting into the sport. It provides that satisfying movement and audible feedback that helps build confidence, reinforce accuracy, and keep things engaging.

Spring Compatibility Note:

🔧 Silver Spring Brackets – Compatible with 6mm thick paddle targets in mild steel (.22LR) or AR450 (.22 Magnum / .17HMR).

Safety & Use Guidelines:

⚠️ Vertical Target Design – Not angled for downward fragmentation. This is a vertical-style system, and bullet splash may deflect unpredictably, especially if rounds hit the soft steel star picket.
⚠️ Minimum Safe Distance: 50 metres (rimfire only) – While the spring helps absorb energy, close-range use is not safe due to the nature of star picket deflection.
⚠️ Not rated for centrefire or magnum use – Rimfire only.
