The 100mm Drop-Tree Paddle is designed specifically for .22LR firearms, featuring a weight-reduced design that ensures smooth, reliable movement within the Cadet Drop-Tree System. Constructed from 6mm premium mild steel, this paddle provides consistent flipping action, making it an excellent tool for accuracy training, speed drills, and competition practice.

Unlike a Duelling Tree, where paddles flip side to side, Drop-Tree paddles descend with each hit, forcing shooters to track downward rather than relying on recoil to reset their aim.

This mild steel paddle is a budget-friendly option for recreational shooters and trainers looking for an affordable target. However, mild steel wears over time, especially under high-volume shooting. For increased longevity, we offer a 6mm AR450 Armour Steel variant, which resists wear while maintaining full compatibility with the Cadet Drop-Tree System.

📌 All systems are rated to their weakest component. Using this mild steel paddle with an armoured Drop-Tree (AR450 spine) does not increase its durability. For high-volume training, we recommend the AR450 version.

🔹 Maximum Velocity: 1,200 fps at impact
🔹 Minimum Velocity: 800 fps at impact (not applicable to air guns)

⚠ Important Notes:

• Not rated for centrefire calibres or magnum rimfire rounds.
• Rounds below 1,100 fps may not reliably activate the moving paddle.
• Rounds slower than 500 fps may not fragment properly, increasing ricochet risk.

Choosing the Right Paddle for Your Setup:

✔ 100mm Round Profile – 6mm Mild Steel – Budget-friendly option for .22LR shooters. Works in all Drop-Trees but wears faster than AR450 paddles. Best for casual shooting and training, but expect more frequent replacements.

✔ 100mm Round Profile – 6mm AR450 – Increased durability for high-volume use. Rated for .22LR, .17 HMR, and .22 Magnum. When used with the Cadet Drop-Tree Armoured Version, the system is rated in line with these paddles, allowing for higher-rated rimfire calibres with improved longevity.
