Overview

The Duel-Master Final Paddle Target – Full Kit is a high-durability duelling-style reactive target system designed for centre-fire handguns, light rifle calibres, and shotgun use. It includes a powder-coated steel base plate, a raw, uncoated 8mm AR500 armour steel face plate, and x2 Post Top Flip Paddle Brackets — creating a premium flip-paddle setup that bolts directly to your 90x35 Post Top Target Mount (sold separately).

Purpose-built for training, competition, and high-volume handgun practice, the AR500 plate offers superior resistance against wear, making it ideal for advanced shooters demanding a longer service life and consistent paddle performance.

How It Works

Both paddles start in the outward-facing position. In a duel, Shooter A engages the left paddle, and Shooter B engages the right. When hit, each paddle flips inward toward the centre. The first paddle to flip sits in front, providing instant visual confirmation of who hit first — ideal for head-to-head matches and speed training drills.

Recommended Paddle Sizes

✅ Best: 100mm or 150mm paddles – ideal for centre-fire handgun training and match setups
✅ Optional: 8mm AR500 paddles for handgun, light rifle, or shotgun
❌ Not Recommended: 50mm paddles – undersized for the system and visually disproportionate

⚠️ Rimfire Compatibility Note
While this AR500 plate safely handles .22LR, .22 Magnum, and .17 HMR, these calibres may not reliably flip heavier 8mm paddles. For optimal rimfire performance:

• Use 6mm mild steel 100mm paddles for .22LR

• Use 6mm AR450 paddles (100mm or 150mm) for .22 Magnum and .17 HMR

⚠️ Paddle Compatibility Notice

This system requires flip paddles with the lock-in feature, designed for the DT-Series Duelling Trees and Duel-Master System.

• ✅ Compatible: DT-Series lock-in flip paddles (DT-Alpha, DT-Cadet, DT-Pro, etc.)

• ❌ Not Compatible: Scout Duelling Tree paddles — they lack the lock-in mechanism and will not work with this system

• Use 8mm paddles for centre-fire handguns and light rifle calibres

• System is always rated to the weakest component in the impact zone

• Example: Using 6mm mild steel paddles with this AR500 plate = safe, but rated to mild steel limits
